Allentown Fair Extends Box Office Hours
Advance fair admission, show and ride tickets are still available!
The Allentown Fair Box Office has extended its box office hours to accommodate an increase in ticket sales demand approaching the fair that runs Aug. 28-Sept. 3.
The Main Box Office is located between the Ritz Barbecue and the Farmers Market on the Fairgrounds at 302 N. 17th Street in Allentown. Starting this week it is open Mondays through Saturdays 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. to sell tickets for the fair’s seven Grandstand Shows, discount fair gate admission and discount advance all-day ride wristbands.
New this year, a “Liberty Street Box Office” will make purchasing tickets more accessible when the Fairgrounds gates close on Wednesday, Aug. 22 in preparation for and during the fair.
Located in the Fairgrounds Hotel parking lot near the corner of 17th and Liberty streets, the new box office will take over onsite ticket sales until the fair officially opens at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28.
During the week leading up to the fair the Liberty Street Box Office will hold hours:
* 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Wednesday and Saturday, Aug. 22 and 25
* 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Monday, Aug. 23, 24 and 27.
* 12-4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26.
On the fair’s Bottom Dollar Food Preview Day Tuesday, Aug. 28, the Liberty Street Box Office will open at 12 p.m. and the Main Box Office will open at 4 p.m. when the fair gates open.
Both offices will open at 12 p.m., the same time the fair opens Wednesday, Aug. 29 - Sunday, Sept. 2. Only the Main Box Office will operate on the final day of the fair, Labor Day Monday, Sept. 3 starting at 12 p.m.
The Liberty Street location will also be the new site for Will Call pick-up throughout the fair.
Tickets are still available for the fair’s Grandstand concerts including The J. Geils Band with special guest The FIXX Aug. 28, Blake Shelton with special guest Sunny Sweeney Aug. 29, Jason Aldean with special guest Luke Bryan plus Rachel Farley and Dee Jay Silver Aug. 30, The Band Perry with special guest Easton Corbin Aug. 31, The Fresh Beat Band Sept. 1, and Victoria Justice with special guest Max Schneider Sept. 2.
The traditional fair closer, the J & J Demolition Derby, is on Labor Day, Sept. 3.
Show tickets purchased in advance of the show dates include admission to the fair. There is $1 per ticket Grandstand venue restoration fee charged on all show tickets, but no additional service or convenience fees.
With the fair weeks away, the demand has also increased for advance purchase tickets that offer family saving discounts for riding rides and for entering the fair during hours that admission is charged.
