$2,500 Reward Offered in Wilson CVS Robbery

Pharmaceutical company says it will give $2,500 to whoever helps catch men who robbed Wilson CVS last month.

Wilson police have offered a reward for anyone who helps them find the men who robbed a borough pharmacy last month.

Police and the group Crime Stoppers -- with funding from the pharmaceutical company Purdue Pharma L.P., -- are offering $2,500 for information leading to the arrest

According to police, officers got a call about an armed robbery at the CVS -- which just opened a new location in Palmer Township -- at 15th and Northampton streets around 1:20 a.m. on Jan. 28.

Workers in the store told police one man -- who carried a black handgun -- demanded narcotics from the pharmacist, while his accomplice rounded up the other workers and hearded them back to the pharmacy.

After getting what they came for, the men ran, heading into Easton. Police say it's not clear how much the men stole.

Police say the man with a gun was white with a medium build, wearing a black sweatshirt, jeans, white sneakers and a dark-colored baseball cap.

The second man was white with a medium/heavy build, wearing a green sweatshirt with white letters, a gray knit hat, gray jeans and white sneakers. Both men had masks over their faces.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at (888) 4RxTIPS or (888-479-8477). All calls will be kept confidential.

Purdue Pharma operates a group called RxPatrol, a collaboration between drug companies, pharmacists and police to collect and analyze information on pharmacy theft.
