Are You Holding a Debate-Watching Party?

Democrat, Republican or Independent, we're looking for groups of people who'll be watching the presidential debates.

Starting next month, President Barack Obama and his Republican challenger Gov. Mitt Romney will meet around the country for a series of debates.

We're looking for people in the Easton area who'll be gathering to watch the debates. It doesn't matter what party, just that you're engaged and interested.

If you fit the bill, write to us at dino.ciliberti@patch.com, or call 484-661-9686. You can also post on our Palmer/Forks Facebook site.

There are four debates scheduled throughout October:

  • October 3, 9 p.m: Obama and Romney discuss domestic policy at the University of Denver in Colarado.
  • October 11, 9 p.m: In the vice-presidential debate, Vice-President Joe Biden and and challenger Rep. Paul Ryan debate foreign and domestic policy at Center College in Danville, KY.
  • October 16, 9 p.m: Obama and Romney meet again for a town-hall style discussion of foreign and domestic issues at Hofstra University in Hamstead, NY.
  • October 22, 9 p.m: In their last debate, Obama and Romney focus on foreign policy at Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL.
