Christmas Coming in Forks
Forks Township officials announce tree lighting ceremony for Dec. 2.
Don't look now, but Christmas is right around the corner -- at least for Forks Township.
Forks Township officials have announced that its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. Dec. 2.
The celebration will be held inside the Forks Community Center with musical performances by elementary and middle school choruses and a performance by Forks Township Police Officer Brooks Kranich.
Other holiday music and activities are also planned.
Following the performances, the Christmas tree will be lit outside the community center and there will be a visit from Santa Claus as well.
Donations of canned goods and peanut butter will be collected in support of ProJeCT of Easton Food Pantry.
The event is sponsored by the Forks Township Kiwanis Club.
