According to the article, school officials are mulling whether to sell advertising space in Cottingham Stadium. Approval would generate some much-needed revenue for the school district, officials said.

In the past few months, the school district has slashed about 75 teaching jobs and numerous staffing positions throughout its schools to trim costs and try to close a budget deficit.

The school year begins at the end of the month.
