Easter Egg Hunt Planned for Forks
Kiwanis Club of Forks Township is holding an egg hunt on March 23.
The Kiwanis Club of Forks Township is hosting an Egg Hunt at the Forks Township Municipal Park on Saturday, March 23, at 1 p.m. for pre-school and elementary school age children.
The rain date is Sunday, March 24, at 1 p.m.
The event is also sponsored by Merchants Bank and National Penn Bank with prizes provided by local merchants and the Forks Kiwanis Club.
A Baby Parade for babies and children up to age 2 will be held just prior to the egg hunt. Baby Parade entrants should be in strollers or wagons. Judges will award a "Prince" and "Princess" of the Egg Hunt from the Baby Parade participants.
Springy the Bunny will also be making an appearance and families are encouraged to bring their cameras.
Assisting the Kiwanis Club of Forks Township members will be members of the volunteer Fire Company and the Township. Real eggs will not be used due to potential health hazards, but the plastic eggs “found” will be traded in for prizes.
Children should bring baskets or bags to collect their eggs and treats.
The Kiwanis Club is asking for a donation of $ 2.00 per participating child (baby parade or egg hunt) towards programs for needy children in the community.
