Plans are in place in Forks Township's five-year parks and recreation plan for a skate park near Community Park.
While officials announced recently that the skate park was included in those plans, few details have come out about it since a May Board of Supervisors meeting at which skaters appeared calling for a park of their own.
Recreation Director Rachel Sulzbach announced -- when the recreation plan was approved -- that the skate park was part of the plan, that a committee would be created and that skaters' opinions would be included in the project.
But a park won't arrive at least until sometime next year. And it's projected to cost at least $76,000.
According to the five-year recreation plan, the skate park is budgeted for 2013 and 2014.
Start-up costs of $49,000 are proposed for 2013 with an additional $27,000, if necessary, in 2014, the document states.
The "Cottage in the Woods" is also now part of the five-year plan.

Another HUGE waste of township money so the 6 kids who hang out behind the Dollar General will have something to do. This version of our town council is as useless as the last version.
