Forks Kiwanis Club Makes Donation
Forks Kiwanis Club provides $500 donation to Easton Food Bank to help feed the hungry.
Forks Township's Kiwanis Club presented a $500 check to the Easton Food Bank Thursday morning to help the hungry in the region.
Kiwanian Ron Roth said that Janise Komisor from ProJeCt of Easton spoke to the Forks Kiwanis Club about the work being done to help feed hungry people from our region.
The club presented Janice with a check for $500 to be donated to the Easton food bank.
In addition, Kiwanis member Nancy Walters has been spearheading a Peanut Butter Drive to collect peanut butter and other food items for the food bank.
The Kiwanians also presented approximately 50 food items (peanut butter, jelly, juice) that they have been collecting in the area.
The food bank continues to need food and donations may be made at the Forks Municipal building or directly to the food bank at 4th and Ferry Sts. In Easton.
The Kiwanis Club is an international service organization dedicated to helping young people locally and throughout the world.
The Forks Township chapter meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:30 AM at the Merchants Bank on Sullivan Train.
