It's one of the latest attractions towns are providing to residents during the summer.
Movie Nights.
Whether they are held in parks or at pools, Movie Nights are helping to lure families out for evenings, providing a free show and some additional entertainment.
Palmer and Forks townships are not alone.
The Palmer Township Community Pool will hold its first Movie Night of the year Friday with a screening Friday at dusk. Another Movie Night will be held at the pool on July 20.
Meanwhile, the Forks Township Recreation Department will kick off its first Movie Night at the new amphitheater on July 6. The films start at dusk.
Here are the features:
- July 6 -- "The Adventures of Tin Tin."
- July 27 -- "The Muppets."
- Aug. 10 -- "The Smurfs."
- Aug 24 -- "Kung Fu Panda 2: The Kaboom of Doom."
All of the movies are PG. Admission is free.
