The Forks Township Police Department is conducting a child safety seat check event this week.

The event takes place at the police station off Sullivan Trail Wednesday from 6-8pm.

September 16-22 is Child Passenger Safety Week, so the police department is hosting the event to check seats and ensure their proper installation and usage.

The department has two certified CPS Techs (Brooks Kranich and Jerry Johnson) and they will be checking seats by appointment only.
