The Forks Township Board of Supervisors held a Moment of Silence at its meeting Thursday night to pay tribute to the victims of the Newtown, CT shooting.

The meeting -- the final one of the year -- began at 7 p.m.

Forks Township officials also adopted the 2013 municipal budget before year's end and the budget was one agenda item along with plans for a nursing home.

A conditional use meeting on the Country Meadows nursing home took place at 6:30 p.m. before the supervisors meeting.

Supervisors later passed a motion approving the project's conditional use.
