In its second narcotics bust in a week, the Palmer Township Police Department uncovered heroin distribution from a township home Friday morning, authorities said.

At 6 a.m. Friday, Palmer police—along with the Easton Police Department and the Northampton County Drug Task Force—executed a narcotics search warrant on a residence on Jonathan Drive, Palmer Det. James Alercia said.

An investigation was initiated into the distribution of heroin from within the residence, which led up to the search warrant, Alercia said in a press release.

He said that numerous individuals were taken into custody, but no arrests have been made as of this point. Alercia said police are still investigating.

The search warrant revealed heroin, an undisclosed amount of money, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

Alercia said the amount of heroin could not be determined yet since it hasn’t been counted, but multiple bundles were located so far.

Assisting with the operation was The Easton Police Emergency Response Team, Forks Township Police Department, and Suburban Emergency Medical Services Regional Tactical Team.

Those agencies hooked up last week when a search warrant of a Forks Township home revealed marijuana being distributed from the residence.
