Oh, Say Can You Sing the National Anthem for Iron Pigs?
Local singers can audition to sing the National Anthem at an Iron Pigs game.
For the first time ever, IronPigs fans are invited to attend and root on their favorite singers during National Anthem auditions on Saturday, Feb. 16, on the Club Level at Coca-Cola Park.
Auditions will begin at 10 a.m. For the sixth consecutive season, Allied Personnel Services is the presenting sponsor of the National Anthem for IronPigs games at Coca-Cola Park.
Those interested in auditioning to perform the National Anthem at Coca-Cola Park MUST pre-register to get an audition time by calling Gary Nevolis at (610) 841-1251 or via email at email@example.com. All RSVPs must be made by Friday, February 8. No walk-ups will be accepted the day of the audition.
Each February, nearly 200 people attend National Anthem Auditions -- and dozens of those candidates are selected to sing at Coca-Cola Park. A cappella renditions will again be performed by individuals as well as by groups, choirs, choruses, barbershop quartets, etc. Each audition will be limited to 90 seconds in length and judged by both IronPigs executives and Allied Personnel Services officials.
Like last season, the IronPigs will be scheduling live performances of each National Anthem prior to every game at Coca-Cola Park.
The auditions will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Club Level and those interesting in watching the process are invited to enter through the Club Level (West) entrance.
