Get ready to peddle.

The Forks Township Police Department will hold its annual bike derby from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The event is geared toward children and helps promote bike safety.

The bike derby, which takes place at the Forks Township Municipal Complex, 1606 Sullivan Trail, is in collaboration with the Cycle Fitters and Coalition of Alternate Transportation.

There will be helmet checks, bike inspections and derby courses.

Sign-up forms can be found at the front desk in the Forks Township Municipal Complex.

The forms ask for parental authorization for children.
