Obama Wins Palmer and Forks
President Barack Obama won over voters' hearts in Forks and Palmer townships on Election Day.
Like the nation and Pennsylvania, President Barack Obama won over the hearts and minds of Palmer and Forks residents at the polls on Election Day.
But it was close.
According to an analysis of election results, Obama won seven of 12 precincts in both towns, edging Republican challenger Mitt Romney with 8,043 votes to Romney's 7,974 votes.
In Forks, the president took two of four precincts, earning 3,524 votes, a 32-vote win over Romney's 3,492 votes.
In Palmer, the margin for Obama beating Romney was 37 votes.
Obama received 4,519 votes to 4,482 for Romney.
