Enjoy the Amphitent, Forks!

You're thinking: I thought that was voted down?  That's right.  It was.  But it's back & worse than ever.  Forks Township is now a proud host of the amphitent due to Supervisor Billings' apparent change of heart.  Something in between voting it down and this second vote seems to have changed Supervisor Billings' mind; what was it?  Who knows?  But what I do know is that we have the ugliest, worst acoustically sound, and expensive slab of concrete in our area.

That's right, no one wants it.  A woman at the BOS meeting said that a poll on the Express Times' website indicated that over 74% of people decided that Forks Township doesn't need an amphitheatre.  No one at any meeting has advocated for the design, save for Howell & his sidekick Gioia.  Oh wait, one woman did call out at the meeting to label the design "imaginative" and whatnot. Did I mention that she is one person.  The only person I have heard of, other than Howell & Gioia, who advocate the design?

This story does, however, have a happy ending.  Why?  Supervisors Howell & Gioia are GONE as of next year.  Voted out.  Didn't even make it past the primary elections.  Billings is next, but we still have four years left of that.  When you don't listen to the people, you will be voted out.  Let's keep this in mind if Mr. Billings seeks re-election.  Let's also thank supervisors Egolf & Chuss for listening.
