  The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation begins resurfacing sections of Route 248 tonight from Route 33 up to the area near Easton Area High School where Route 248 intersects with Northampton Street and turns into S. 25th Street. The project was awarded to Eckman Inc. of Atglen, Chester County. The PennDOT contract requires the work be done during off-peak traffic times, which is 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Sunday.
