Easton Farmers Market Launches 'Weyerbacher Wednesdays'

Easton brewery, other local business at the center of new weekday farmers' market.

When the Easton Farmers' Market began its rebirth a few years ago, there was just a handful of vendors involved.

Now, there are dozens of farmers, artists and other businesses selling their goods every Saturday in Easton.

With the market's new weekday edition—which launched Wednesday afternoon in Centre Square—organized found themselves in a different position: launching with 20 vendors from the very beginning.

It was a mix of Easton businesses, places like the Bank Street Creamery, Compost and Sweet Girlz Bakery, and Weybacher Brewery, which is the chief sponsor of the new market day (known as "Weyerbacher Wednesdays").

There were also new faces on the scene, such as Firelight Farms from Orwigsburg, and Sumac Catering from Bethlehem Township, which had people lined up to sample their giant chicken wraps.
