This is a community-wide opportunity to rid your homes and offices of accumulated electronic clutter and dispose of it in accordance with EPA regulations. Check your attics, basements and garages for the following items and dispose of them free of charge:*
E-Scrap includes the following items: Answering Machines, Batteries (all types), Cables/Wire, Camcorders, CDs/DVDs, Cell Phones, CD Players, Computer Equipment, Computers, Copiers, Cords, Duplicators, DVD Players, Electronic Typewriters, Electronic Games, Fax Machines, Hard Drives, Keyboards/Mice, Household Electronics, Ink/Toner, Lab Equipment, Laptops, Laptop Batteries, Mainframe Equipment, Media, Microwave Ovens, Modems, Monitors*, Networking Equipment, Pagers, PDAs, Printers, Printer Circuit Boards, Other Electronics, Remote Controls, Scanners, Stereo Components, Stereos, Tapes, Tape Players, Telephones, Telecom Equipment, Testing Equipment, Toasters, Transparency Makers, Two-Way Radios, UPS-Power Supplies, VCRs, Word Processors, Scrap Metals
*CRT monitors are subject to a $7 per item disposal fee assessed to the donor due to the dangerous metals that they contain. This fee is approximately 50% cheaper than the disposal fees assessed by many townships at their E-Scrap recycling centers.
NOTE: ONLY FLAT-SCREEN TVs ACCEPTED THIS YEAR. NO PICTURE TUBE TELEVISIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
