National Library Week in Palmer

The Palmer Township branch of the Easton Area Public Library celebrates National Library Week.

Spend a week—like next week—opening your mind to the wonderful world of reading.

National Library Week kicks off Monday and the Palmer Township branch of the Easton Area Public Library is celebrating.

The library invites families to special children programs in celebration of National Library Week, which runs from April 14-19.

Here are the programs:

  • Monday, 10 a.m.—Open storytime.
  • Tuesday, 10 a.m.—Open storytime.
  • Tuesday, 6 p.m.—Celebrating Maurice Sendak, author of "Where the Wild Things Are" with stories and crafts.
  • Wednesday, 10 a.m.—Open storytime.
  • Wednesday, 6 p.m.—Celebrating Laura Numeroff, author of "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" with stories and crafts.

The libary is also introducing this year's chosen book by One Book Every Young Child, "The Bus for Us" by Suzanne Bloom.
