Palmer Couple Sues Township Over Billboard

The Hay Terrace couple say the electronic sign is affecting their quality of life.

A Palmer Township Couple has sued the township, saying an electronic billboard is ruining their quality of life.

The lawsuit, filed by Charles and Betsy Diefenderfer in Northampton County Court last week, saying the township did not properly advertise the proposed zoning amendment before it was enacted, The Morning Call reported.

The Diefenderfers live on Hay Terrace, and say the billboard's flashing lights have kept them from sleeping and have affected the value of their home, The Morning Call said.

The billboard in question is owned by Abe Atiyeh.
