Will Nazareth Residents Flock to Palmer Pool?

Palmer Township's Community Pool may get some outside visitors from Nazareth, which closed its pool for this summer.

Palmer Township's Community Pool is a popular one.

The pool already draws residents from Forks Township, which doesn't have a pool.

And with Nazareth Borough Council's recent decision to close its deteriorating Nazareth Boro-Park Pool this summer, Palmer's pool might become an even more popular swimming destination.

The pool kicks off its summer season May 25 and will be open on weekends until the Easton Area School District closes for the summer on June 17.

The pool is on Seip Avenue and Farmersville Road and has hours of operation between 12:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. daily, weather and attendance permitting.

It holds several events throughout the summer: Family Nights on July 5 and July 19 and Movie Nights on June 28 and July 12.

Here are the pool rates for the 2013 season:

Admission Prices

  • Weekends — Adult $6.50, Child $5
  • Senior Citizens — $4.50, Non-swimmer $1
  • Weekends/Holidays — Adult $7, Child $5.50, Senior Citizen $5

#Children 5 and younger are free.

#Adults are ages 21 and older.

Membership Prices

  • Family — $148
  • Individual — $98
  • Senior Citizen — $48
  • All memberships must be purchased online or at the Charles Chrin Community Center.
  • Family includes two adults and four children.
  • Seniors are age 62 and older.
  • There will be 2 percent added to all credit card purchases.
