Producers are looking for an Hispanic male in his 30's, no taller than 5-feet-4-inches. In describing the character, producers say “Jose is industrious and inventive, making him a crucial part to the survival of the other contestants.”

The movie is about Casey, who inherits a struggling radio station, WTYT 960. To bring the station out of the ratings basement, he devises a plan to host a billboard-sitting contest, wherein four lucky people will live on the catwalk (eight feet wide by forty feet long) in front of the billboard for a chance to win a mobile home and 'nine-sixty' thousand dollars.

According to the Backstage casting call: “What makes this project so unique is Zeke’s 'transmedia' approach to telling the story by creating a 'story world.' The project is already underway in the form of a virtual radio station (WTYT960.com), for which over 320 bands have submitted their music to become a part of the station’s playlist."
