Another Retail Casualty at Palmer Park Mall
Books for Less closes after less than a year in business at Palmer Park Mall in Palmer Township.
The retail hits just keep on coming.
Shortly after the Fiat showroom folded, the Palmer Park Mall has also lost its book store.
Books for Less has been holding a closeout sale when it has been open. The store, which replaced Green Books which had replaced a Waldenbooks before that, was open for less than a year.
The Fiat showroom closed after two years after the dealership could not extend its lease on a monthly basis, the dealership manager told Palmer-Forks Patch.
The mall, which is anchored by Bon-Ton and Boscov's, has had trouble filling empty storefronts.
There are at least six vacancies, including American Gyro, which closed last year, and Famous Footwear.
