Dan's Camera City Opens a Local Store

Allentown-based Dan's Camera City will hold a grand opening celebration at its new Lower Nazareth Township location June 21 to 23.

Allentown-based Dan's Camera City opened the doors to its second location Thursday at the corner of Routes 33 and 248.

To celebrate, Dan's Camera City will hold a grand opening celebration from June 21 to 23. A total of $3,100 in prizes will be given away.

“We have seen our customers dealing with more traffic and less time to get everything done, and we want to make sure Dan’s is easily accessible for more residents of the valley,“ Mike Woodland, the store’s co-owner, said in a January press release.

A portrait studio will also be a part of the expansion into Lower Nazareth.

“We are excited to bring the creativity of our photographers along with Dan’s quality and experience to the portrait customer,” Woodland said.

About 20 new full-time employees will be hired. More than 90 employees work out of the Allentown location.

Serving more than 400 customers every day, Dan's Camera City offers a large selection of photo services and camera equipment, according to the press release.

Dan's Camera City is open Monday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Closed Saturdays in July and August.
