Finelli Consulting Engineers Officially Opens Doors in Palmer

The firm is one of several companies involved in Miracle League of Northampton County construction

"I was born about a mile from here," Michael Finelli told the assembled group. "And I never thought I'd be back here today in Palmer with a company."

The group he was addressing had come to a Friday afternoon grand opening and ribbon cutting at 2605 Nazareth Road, the new home of Finelli Consulting Engineers.

"We started out back in 2001," said Finelli.

Finelli, the company's president, founded the firm just outside Washington, N.J. The company grew by adding engineering services and people. Five years ago, the firm bought out Environmental Design & Engineering of West Easton. The firm still serves West Easton with engineering services and Finelli serves as engineer for several municipalities in New Jersey.

Branch manager Domenick Colangelo pointed to framed engineering design site plans hanging on the wall in the conference room.

"We did Woodridge Falls III in Palmer," Colangelo said. "It's 100 townhouses and 216 apartments in nine buildings. We provided the plans, the site planning, stormwater runoff and other engineering services."

He pointed to another colorful site plan.

"This is for Victoria Square V," said Colangelo. "We completed the previous four. These are two-family, semidetached homes."

The firm has also provided the engineering for various projects in Forks Township, and many of its projects in Warren County have been completed or are under way.

The firm has donated engineering services for the soon-to-be constructed Miracle League of Northampton County, a baseball field for children with disabilities slated to be at the Charles Chrin Community Center in Palmer.
