Forks Business Roundtables May Continue

Outgoing Forks BCAF president says roundtable might be held quarterly in Forks Township.

The first business roundtable didn't go off the charts like organizers hoped.

But leaders of the Business and Commerce Association of Forks believe they got some good ideas for how to move forward.

"Thanks to the township, supervisors and staff. The roundtable was extremely well-attended," BCAF President told the board during a June meeting at which he announced his term was ending. "Your input was certainly valued."

Lokitis said, though, that "attendance by outside businesses was not what we hoped it would be."

He also stated that a questionnaire sent out only drew 10 responses, a "low response" that might lead to a second round of surveys being sent out.

Still, Lokitis believes that there was enough interest so that more might be held in the future, possibly quarterly.

He hoped that BCAF would be putting together more opportunities for businesses to communicate with one another and promote their offerings.

Lokitis was recently replaced as by Ron Roth, the executive director of the Career Institute of Technology in Forks Township.
