GymtiME Expands at Park Plaza

Forks business takes over site next store in Park Plaza at Sullivan Trail.

It didn't take long for Meghan Ibach to experience growing pains.

After opening her business in the Park Plaza at Sullivan Trail at the end of September, the owner of GymtiME is already expanding.

Ibach has taken over the empty space to the left of GymtiME, creating more space for the business which bills itself as "sports, recreation and fitness for a lifetime."

"Things are going really well," Ibach said. "We have exceeded what we wanted. I had realistic hopes."

Ibach—who had just finished a class in which children bounced basketballs, blew bubbles and did other exercises—said she was thrilled with winter session enrollment.

She said that it hovered around 90 percent and that 125 kids were enrolled in the fall session. Now, it's at 150.

Ibach is also happy with the progress around her at Park Plaza.

She joined BounceU as one of the first businesses and has since seen the addition of an Easton Hospital branch, the relocation of Trail Trimmers Salon and the opening of Juicy Subs.

"We're getting some retail and restaurants," Ibach said. "It's the best fit for Forks."

So Ibach decided to expand.

She grabbed the space to the left of GymtiME, 625 square feet with a separate entrance.

"It's not that large but will be perfect for what we'll use it for," she said.

Ibach has big plans for the space too.

She's thinking about adding adult classes like yoga and more programs for kids in the evening and in the day like aerobics, Hip Hop and Zumba.

"It's great as a party room or for summer camps," she said. "It's a multi-purpose room."
