New Store Not Coming to Forks Park Plaza

Deal to add Franklin Hill Vineyards falls through for Forks Township mecca.

The Park Plaza at Sullivan Trail now has four new businesses operating in the transformed shopping mecca.

But one business won't be coming.

Forks Township officials have confirmed that a deal to bring a Franklin Hill Vineyards shop to the center has fallen through.

Township Zoning Officer Tim Weis said in an email that "the vineyard has pulled out of their commitment at this point" and therefore were not issued a building permit.

Franklin Hill Vineyards has a shop on Route 248 on the Lower Nazareth/Palmer Township border.

Trail Trimmers Salon opened in Park Plaza over the past two weeks.

Meanwhile, Park Plaza also has added a Bounce U, GymTime and a branch of Easton Hospital.

Alison Miers, vice president of Easton Initiatives for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, said that Park Plaza developer Rick Bartolacci recently met with the Business and Commerce Association of Forks Township to discuss businesses he is trying to bring to Park Plaza.

It is a shame to see Franklin Vineyards has pulled out of their commitment, however I am glad to announce that JUICY SUBS is coming to the plaza very soon! It's a new sub shop that will provide delicious subs, smoothies, chillers, and natural juices! Check them out on Facebook.com/juicysubs
