St. Patrick's Day — Best Place to Celebrate?

St. Patrick's Day arrives Sunday. What are your choices where to get green beer or eat corned beef and cabbage.

Ah, St. Paddy's Day.

When we think of St. Patrick's Day, which arrives Sunday, we think of the Luck of the Irish. We may wear green.

Corned beef and caggage also come to mind. And what better way to wash that down with then a glass of green beer or a pint of Guinness.

For residents of Palmer and Forks Townships, there are several choices for how best to celebrate the holiday.

Last year, in a Readers' Choice poll, Stemie's 1818 Tavern in Palmer Township was voted the best place to celebrate St. Paddy's Day and it received another mention this week as a favorite spot on our Palmer/Forks Facebook page.

Big Woody's in Forks Township has also been nominated as a St. Patrick's Day staple in these parts.

Another place for some corned beef and cabbage is the 248 Diner, which sits on the Palmer Township border. That got another Facebook recommendation this week.
