When is the New Sheetz Opening in Palmer?

With their bright red and yellow signs, Sheetz convenience stores are usually pretty hard to miss.

But there's something kind of elusive about the new one planned for Palmer Township's Northwood Center: its opening date.

First, developers said before Thanksgiving. Then, the end of September.

Now it's looking like the middle of this month.

That's according to the Express-Times, which gives an opening date of Oct. 17, assuming roadwork on Route 248 wraps up as planned.

Strausser Enterprises is developing the Northwood Center, which includes a CVS that opened right after the new year. Strausser officials have said the new Sheetz would be the largest Sheetz convenience store in the Lehigh Valley.
