Nazareth Borough Police Department

Part-Time Officers

The Borough of Nazareth is seeking qualified police officers for part-time employment with the Nazareth Police Department. Interested persons much be Act 120 certified.

All previous applicants must submit new applications for consideration as all previously filed applications for part-time police employment and previously approved hires have been rescinded.

Schoeneck Moravian Church

Church Custodian, about 30 hours/week

Opportunity for a retired couple to work about 30 hours/week. Requires some weekends and holidays. Includes cleaning, vacuuming and various other duties. Also includes setting up and tearing down tables/chairs for all events held at the church.

Lafayette College

Academic Advisor / Counselor

The Academic Counselor will be involved with all aspects of academic counseling including the development, coordination and implementation of educational counseling services geared to achieving, maintaining and improving student success and retention. Specific duties include:

  • Managing a caseload of students;
  • Monitoring academic progress;
  • Providing assistance with learning strategies, organization skills, time management, etc., for all students in the caseload, including students with disabilities; and
  • Assisting with DOC projects as needed.

Requirements for the position include: a bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, education, special education, counseling or other academic counseling related field. Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (2008). Experience working in higher education, and knowledge of learning strategies and student-centered learning is desired.
