Adopt a plant at the Palmer bike path garden

Drought again - adopt a clean habit of watering your favorite plant at the Palmer bike path garden.

We are unofficially back in a drouight situation.  Playing in the dirt as I do most days I can verify that the ground is very dry.  Working in my own yard on Monday I saw ferns laying on the ground. These are ferns that have multiyear root systems.  That is proof of extremely dry conditions.  The numerous plants planted along the bike path west of Bar Don Lanes have been noticed and appreciated by walkers and bikers. The critical mass necessary to draw attention has been reached.  The next step is for nature lovers to adopt some plants.  There are wilting plants now. The hard fact is that most people who enjoy the bike path are not going to pick up discarded items.  Most people are not going to pull the weeds.  But a nice clean thing that most people can do is carry a bottle of water and help out their favorite plant with a drink. I reasonable response would be "it is your project so you do all the work." Agreed, and that is what the current situation is. The seventeen gallons of water that are taken to the plants most days do a lot of good. Thanks for making the local treasure shine more.
