New daffodil gardens at Palmer Post Office on Wednesday

Help plant daffodil bulbs

By noon on Tuesday, 8 January, Palmer Township workers will have finished their part of the job. They dug out the poor soil by the two chain link fences along Greenwood Avenue and replaced it with leaf compost. On Wednesday at one o'clock members of the Palmer Township Beautification Project will plant one hundred pounds of spring flowering bulbs. The bulbs were donated by the Netherland Bulb Company, which has one of their U.S. distribution centers in Palmer. Anyone needing community service hours or just want to help are encouraged to join in the planting. Project members planted 180 pounds of spring flowering bulbs in December in their first garden along the bike path at Fairview Park.
