Number 26 and 27

We make a huge difference.

Palmer Township Beautification Project members rode their bikes on Chain Dam Road on Thursday and picked up enough debris that there was no more room in their bike container.  They sited two more plastic water bottles, but saved their removal for another day.  Friday the thought was to get the last two bottles and ride down to Riverview Park.  It is amazing what the eye does not see.  Riding along on Chain Dam Road enough debris was there to fill the bike container again.  The two bottles were found and picked up. Again there was not enough room to pick up six other items.  For another day.  Saturday is special because of the ride down to the Easton Farmers Market in center square. The vendors have a wonderful assortment of goods. It is worth the trip!  We occasionally will pick up aluminum cans on this trip, but pass on the many discarded items along the way. On the final assent up Stones Crossing Road there were bags number 26 and 27 just sitting there on the curb a few feet apart. The attached picture shows the latest bags of dog feces left by dog owners this year.  The positive thing about disposing of these properly was the very small snake that was on the road seemingly not able to get up over the curb and into the woods to safety. With a stick and little patience the snake was aided to the woods.
