Palmer Township Beautification Project.

A wonderful way to beautify our world and get community service credit.

Ride your bike or walk on the Palmer/Bethlehem Township bike path and you know it is not like last year.  Members of the Palmer Township Beautification Project have kept it nearly spotless from Fairview Park to River View Park.  In addition the new plants from Bar Don Lanes to The Palermo Metals building were all donated and planted by local residents.  The problem with new plants is they do not have well established root systems.  So far over 2000 gallons of water have been added to keep the plants alive.  Some plants are currently struggling.  The ferns at the bottom of the hills, the ornamental grasses, and day lillies all need a good long drink. They will need help through September to get established.  There are also a few weeds that would be good eliminating. Any group or individual who needs or wants to do community service may contact the founder of the organization.  Dave Carr, d.carr@rcn.com, 610.704.5868
