Courthouse Honored For Historic Preservation

Northampton County's courthouse will receive a 2013 Commercial Real Estate Development Award next month.

Easton's 152 year old courthouse is being honored for its longevity.

The Northampton County Courthouse is one of four local buildings that will receive a 2013 Commercial Real Estate Development Award from the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce next month.

The courthouse is being honored for historic preservation, according to a news release from the chamber.

Also getting awards are: Martin Guitar's distribution center in Forks Township (the green building Award), St. Luke’s West End Medical Center (adaptive use award) and the Bennett Toyota, Scion and Body Shop in Allentown (brownfield redevelopment award).

The ceremony is scheduled for April 18 at the Holiday Inn in Breinigsville.
