Five Things to Know This Week, July 23-28

The Philadelphia Eagles open training camp, Palmer supervisors meet and Forks holds a concert and a movie night. It's also my father's birthday Monday.

July is nearing an end.

The cooler weather gave us a little taste of what's to come down the road...football!

So here is the latest addition of this week.

Our weekly feature every Monday takes a look at what's ahead of us for the week. Now that the weekend is in our rear-view mirror, we can get ready for news and information that might make your week a little lighter and brighter.

1. The Philadelphia Eagles open training camp at Lehigh University Monday. Veterans report to camp on Wednesday. Coach Andy Reid is making practices with pads in the afternoon. Check out the team that will hopefully be more of a dream than last year's nightmare.

2. The Palmer Township Board of Supervisors will hold its meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the library conference room. Click here for the agenda.

3. The Forks Township Recreation Department has two big events this week: Wednesday features another concert, Jordan White, while Friday features the second Movie Night. This time it's "The Muppets."

4. Palmer Community Pool has its second Family Night planned for Friday.

5. And finally, a Happy Birthday to my father, , of Forks Township.
