Five Things to Look for This Week

Public Works and Bank signs top the list

Here is a list of five things to look out for this week in Palmer and Forks townships. 

On Thursday, the Forks Township Board of Supervisors will discuss the proposed township public works building.  Last month, supervisors shot down 12 work proposals for the 23,000-square-foot, $3.7 million construction after all came in exceedingly higher than anticipated. Supervisors will likely vote to advertise for work proposals once again. The meeting is set for 7:30pm in the municipal building located at 1606 Sullivan Trail.

The Palmer Township Shade Tree Commission meets tonight at 6:30pm in the Palmer Memorial Branch library located at 1 Weller Place. 

The Palmer Township Zoning Hearing Board meets 7:30pm Tuesday in the Palmer Memorial Branch library located at 1 Weller Place.

The Palmer Township Planning Board will consider a proposal from First Star Bank for installation of an electronic message sign at 6pm Friday. The bank recently announced that it would be closing the Northwood Avenue location and reopening at a larger facility located at a former Sovereign Bank located at the Palmer Park Mall. The meeting will be held in the meeting room at Palmer Memorial Library located at 1 Weller Place.
