Five Things to Look For This Week

Primary elections and e-cycling event

Here’s a list of five things to look out for this week in Palmer and Forks townships:

  1. State Rep. Joe Emrick, R-137, will be holding open house hours Thursday. The hours and locations are as follows: 9am to noon at the Forks Township Community Center, 500 Zucksville Road; 1pm to 4pm at the Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity, 295 E. Center St; 4:30pm to 8pm in Upper Mount Bethel Township, 2165 Mount Bethel Highway.

  3. Forks Board of Supervisors will meet 7:30pm Thursday.
  4.  Palmer Township will hold its annual e-cycle event Saturday. Residents who wish to get rid of old electronics, appliances can do so at the Easton Area High School parking lot from 9am to 2pm. This year this event is being expanded to include the recycling of refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners and freon does not have to be removed from the appliances.   5. On Saturday, Palmer Township will also allow for paper shredding from 9am to 12pm at the Easton Area High School parking lot. There will be a $2 per vehicle charge for this service. For more information contact Tom Dittmar at (610) 559-3200 x4.
