Trick-or-Treating wasn't on Halloween this year in Forks and Palmer townships.
Now it won't be Saturday either for Palmer Township.
Palmer Township officials announced Thursday morning that trick-or-treating will be "postponed until further notice" due to the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.
Officials said there were just too many downed trees and wires and power outages to have a safe Halloween event.
Palmer Township supervisors will discuss the issue at their meeting Monday night.
Due to power outages caused by Hurricane Sandy, Forks officials decided Tuesday afternoon to delay the community event, rescheduling it for 6-8 p.m. Saturday. Palmer made its decision Wednesday morning.
The chiefs of the Forks Township police and fire departments said they'll be out in full force for trick-or-treating, passing out candy and keeping an eye out to ensure the safety of township children.
Palmer and Forks were hit with a high number of power outages.
