Palmer Brother Reacts to bin Laden's Death

Patrick Cartier, Jr., "We got him. We got him."

Last night, President Obama revealed how a U.S. operation launched eight months ago ended in a firefight that killed the most wanted man in the world, Osama bin Laden.

U.S. intelligence led a small team to Abbottabad, Pakistan where they killed Bin Laden and took possession of his body, the President said. That happened last week.

Last night, Palmer Township resident Patrick Cartier, Jr. called it a glorious day when he heard the news of the death, according to a report early this morning on lehighvalleylive.com.

His brother, James Cartier was just 26 years old when he was killed in the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks at World Trade Center.

“It took 10 years, but our nation has prevailed,” Cartier said in the report. “It sends a clear message to the world: Don’t mess with us. We’ll eventually get you. You can hide, but you can’t hide forever.”
