Power Coming Back for Palmer, Forks

Met-Ed map shows that more residents in Palmer and Forks townships are getting their power restored.

The Easton Area School District has been closed all week.

The Palmer Park Mall has been shut for four straight days.

And many people in Palmer and Forks townships continue to cope without power ever since Hurricane Sandy knocked their electricity out Monday night.

But there's light at the end of the tunnel -- even if the lights aren't on in your house yet.

As of mid-Friday afternoon, Met-Ed's power outage map showed that 3,448 residents in Palmer Township were without power and 1,120 in Forks.

Throughout both towns Friday, Met-Ed crews worked to get power back on.
