Are you preserving your memories or storing them?

What are you doing with all of your digital pictures? Find out about digital scrapbooking - a fun and easy way to preserve your memories.

These days, it is so easy to take pictures.  It is not unheard of to take a Disney vacation and come home with 500 - 1,000 digital pictures!  But where do those pictures finally end up?  SD cards?  Your computer hard drive?  If this sounds like you, you are not unlike many, many others.

This digital age has eased the process of taking a picture - you can retake a picture if someone blinks, if the picture looks blurry, or if you missed the precise moment.  But sometimes your computer ends up storing those pictures instead of a frame, photo album or scrapbook.

So what can you do?

Digital scrapbooking is an easy way to take those pictures and put them into a cherished scrapbook.  You say you have no time?  Digital pages can be made in minutes.  I have been a traditional scrapbooker for over 10 years, but took the plunge last year with digital scrapbooking.

My family went camping for the first time, and within days of getting home, I starting putting my pictures into Studio J - a free scrapbooking website from Close to My Heart.  Studio J uses the same great papers, patterns, colors and embellishments as classic Close to My Heart scrapbooking.  Pages are printed on archival quality photo paper and are sent directly to you.

Digital scrapbooking has many advantages.

You can resize or edit your picture within the program - a definite plus when you are tired of the typical 4"x6" pictures and want to highlight a great shot.  You are also able to add journaling, captions and titles - a great feature for those who hate their handwriting.  And best of all, the digital pages look just as good as traditional scrapbook pages!  Within days of our camping trip, I 'point and clicked' my way to four 2-page layouts - complete with lots of pictures and journaling from our special trip.  It was the first time in my life that I had our beautiful memories from an event in the same month!

Try it for free with Studio J!  'Play' with your pictures, create your pages and then decide if you like them.  Get started on my website - www.ctmh.com/bloominghearts.  Click on 'Studio J' and have fun!  You will find the ease of creating pages addicting!  And you are in luck this month - when you buy 9 custom-printed Studio J layouts, you receive a 10th layout for free!

Next month, I will have some suggestions for giving the best kind of present - a handmade gift!
