Forks Welcome McDonalds! I'm lovin it!

Hello!

I've started the petition "Vice Chairman, Forks Twp Board of Supervisors Dan Martyak and Chairman, Forks Twp Board of Supervisors John O'Neil and Secretary/Treasurer, Forks Twp Board of Supervisors Erik Chuss and Member, Forks: Welcome McDonald's to Forks Township Pa" and need your help to get it off the ground.

Will you take 30 seconds to sign it right now? Here's the link:

Time and time again certain individuals who think they know what the community want fight to have McDonalds not open in their 'back yard'.  When it finally does open, it becomes nothing but a success because the community enjoys their food.  We don't need our neighbors deciding what is healthy for us or not.  It's our own personal choice to make those decisions and if we don't want a certain business in town, then don't give them your money and they will go out of business...  It's that simple.  McDonalds has the does not use smoke blower which keeps the smell down. They have completed a parking study and there is ample parking.  If the certain people are worried about litter, then prosecute the slobs...  The new look of McDonalds are appealing  (certainly more so then some of the dirty 'locally' owned places.  I won't name any, but look at the walls and doors of each place as you enter them and how clean the bathrooms are and you decide if you want to eat there...)  They will employ our children with part time work giving them a starting point in life to understand what work is and what it means.  Not to mention, managers who will earn more and grow their families in the community.  There can be many positives about a new successful business in a town and if the owners of a corporation think they can contribute to this community, then we welcome it.  In a township that is considering raising taxes at a time when wages are not increasing, why not look toward tried and true businesses who will contribute to the tax revenue in the township?  I'm starting this petition to see if people agree with me and have a different point of view from Scott Haykin's petition.
