Philadelphia Eagles Schedule Won't Get Any Easier

The National Football League is tougher than ever this year.

On any given Sunday, any team can win. On paper so far this year, games that might be won by some teams were lost.

The Pittsburgh Steelers can beat the Philadelphia Eagles one week and then lose to the Tennessee Titans the following week.

The Eagles can beat the New York Giants one week and then lose to the struggling Detroit Lions.

The Eagles, who were once 3-1, are now 3-3 in a bye week Sunday. The team is in turmoil. Quarterback Michael Vick is struggling and Coach Andy Reid just fired defensive coordinator Juan Castillo because the unit was sputtering.

For the Eagles, the schedule is not going to get any easier.

While Reid has a perfect record coming out a bye, that could end next Sunday against the red hot Atlanta Falcons.

What's worse is that the following week's game is against the New Orleans Saints, a team that seems to be finally getting its act together and will be getting back its interim coach from suspension.

Then the Birds have to battle their NFC East rivals.

While the Dallas Cowboys have been stumbling and fumbling, they're still the Dallas Cowboys. The teams match up again three weeks later.

Then comes rookie RGIII, Quarterback Robert Griffin III, who is a sensation so far this year in leading the Washington Redskins to victory.

The Carolina Panthers, with Cam Newton, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won't be any slouches either. The Birds play the Panthers in Week 12 and Bucs in Week 14.

The Cincinnati Bengals made the playoffs last year and have been playing tough.

And then to end the season, the Birds battle the Skins again at home and then face the Giants to end the season away.

Andy Reid has a history of getting his Birds to fly in November.

Will that be the case again this year or will Reid finally get his wings clipped and have another season of disappointment?
