May & June 2011 Events @ Palmer Branch

A quick look at updates for May and June.

Good afternoon, everyone!

Here's a quick look at the events coming up at the Palmer Branch.

May 2011-
   May is almost over (already!) and that means Memorial Day is right around the corner.  The EAPL and its branches will be closed on Saturday, May 28th and Monday, May 30th for the holiday.

June 2011-
   The Young Adult Book Group will be meeting on Saturday, June 4th at 2PM to discuss James Patterson's Maxmimum Ride: The Angel Experiment.  The book group is opened to anyone in grades 6-9.

   The end of the school year is right around the corner, which means that the Summer Reading Program sign-ups are coming soon!  This year the theme is One World, Many Stories!  Travel around the globe with Miss Stephanie and the Palmer Branch librarians from June through August.  Sign-ups for the program start on Monday, June 13th

   The official kick-off of the Summer Reading Program is on Monday, June 20th!  Join us at the Palmer Branch on Thursday, June 23rd for the Opening Program, starring the musician Tom Sieling at 10:00AM.  No sign-up required for this program.
