One World, Many Stories -- 2011 Summer Reading Program

Reminder about Summer Reading sign-ups and opening program details.

Can you believe it's already June 2nd?

Here at Palmer, we're getting busy getting the library ready for the Summer Reading Program.

This year's theme for children is One World, Many Stories, which features different cultures and countries around the world.  We are transforming our children's section into a playful jungle with lots of stories on animals from around the world.  And don't forget to check out Flat Stanley as he travels with Palmer patrons!

The theme for teens is You Are Here.  We have featured booklists for science fiction, self-perception and historical fiction.

Students heading to EAHS in the fall - don't forget your summer reading!  We have booklists available and an entire section devoted to the 9th Grade Reading List.

Young Adults and Adults can start entering their names in raffles starting Monday, June 20th.  (List of prizes coming soon.)

And don't forget!  Our opening program starring Tom Sieling will be at 10:00AM on June Thursday, June 23rd.  He will be presenting "Bugs, Baboons & Story Tunes"!  (No registration required for this event - just show up!)
