Alarms, Accidents Top Forks Fire Report

The Forks Township Fire Department dealt with 14 alarms in a recent monthly report delivered to the Board of Supervisors by Fire Chief Chuck Chapman.

During April, the department handled 25 calls, including nine activated alarms (including one in Stockertown) and five CO alarms, the report states.

The department also responded to five vehicle accidents, including two in Stockertown.

There were also reports of two odor investigations, two miscellaneous fires and smoke in a residence in Forks Township and a Med-Evac landing in Plainfield Township.

The 25 calls took up 194.27 manpower hours and involved 50 units.

For the year through April, the Forks Fire Department has handled 96 calls for Forks Township, seven for Stockertown, three for Plainfield, three for Palmer Township, one for Upper Mount Bethel Township and one for Tatamy.
