Bon-Ton Employee Allegedly Swipes $375

Palmer Township man suspected of taking money from Bon-Ton cash registers, court records say.

An employee of the Bon Ton in the is accused of stealing $375 from the department store’s cash registers, according to court papers.

Thomas D. Gaillard, 24, of 2120 Gruver Ave., Palmer Township, was turned over to Wednesday by store security after the thefts were discovered, according to an arrest affidavit.

It is alleged that the thefts happened at two different store cash registers on four separate occasions beginning on July 5 and ending on July 14. He is accused of taking $70 on July 5, $100 from on July 6, $85 from on July 10 and $120 on July 14.

The affidavit says Gaillard admitted to the thefts to store security and to the investigating officer.

Gaillard was charged with theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception and receiving stolen property. He was arraigned Wednesday night before night duty District Judge James Narlesky of Hanover Township and released on $2,500 unsecured bail.
